This Privacy Notice (this “Notice”) applies to the processing of Personal Data carried out by Newsec Advisory Sweden AB, org. nr. 556695-7592, Stureplan 3, 111 45 Stockholm, Sweden.

• 2. What is Personal Data and processing of Personal Data? 

The term “Personal Data” as used in this Notice is any type of information that, either on its own or together with any other information, can be connected to a living individual, and any other data that qualifies as Personal Data in accordance with the laws applicable to Newsec. Processing of Personal Data means Personal Data that in any form is kept, stored, collected, transferred, disclosed or otherwise handled.

• 3. What personal data are we processing, what is the purpose and which legal basis are the basis of the processing? 

We process your personal for the following purposes and with the documented legal basis.

We store and process your personal data for as long as your consent remains valid. If you withdraw your consent, we will cease the processing and delete the personal data, unless we are required or permitted by law to retain it.

• 4. To what categories of third parties will the Personal Data be disclosed?

We may engage other parties to carry out the processing of personal data as described above, such as subsidiaries or suppliers of IT and marketing services.

When personal data is processed on our behalf, such parties may act only as data processors and are then obliged to take appropriate technical and organisational security measures. The personal data may only be processed in accordance with our instructions and for the stated purposes.

• 5. Transfer of your personal data to countries outside EU/EES 

Some partners and suppliers may have all or part of their operations in countries outside the EU/EEA. If personal data is transferred to such countries, the transfer will take place in accordance with applicable data protection legislation, either to countries that have been deemed by the European Commission to have ensured an adequate level of protection or with the support of appropriate safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses, provided that the data subjects are provided with enforceable rights and effective legal remedies.

We do not conduct any automated profiling in relation to your personal data.

In accordance with the GDPR you have several rights in relation to how we process your personal data. In such case you want to use your rights, please contact us in accordance with above contact information. 

The right to access

You have the right to request access to the Personal Data that Newsec processes relating to you, called a register extract. 

The right to rectification

You have the right to have incorrect information corrected. 

The right to erasure

You have the right to be forgotten and request deletion of your Personal Data when the processing is no longer necessary for the purpose for which it was collected. We will delete the Personal Data as soon as we no longer are required to process it. 

The right to object and restriction

You can request to restrict, and to object to the processing of Personal Data on the following basis: if the processing is no longer necessary for the purposes it was collected for or otherwise processed, if you believe the Personal Data may not be correct, if you believe that the processing is unlawful and/or if you have opposed to the processing based on our legitimate interest, where we do not have an overriding interest in relation to your privacy interest. As soon as we become aware of any inaccurate Personal Data being processed, we will always rectify such Personal Data without undue delay and notify you accordingly.

The right to Data Portability

In certain cases, you have the right to receive your personal data in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format and to have this personal data transferred from one data controller to another without hindrance.

How to exercise your rights

If you wish to exercise any of your above rights, please contact us at dataprotection@newsec.com. Please note that Newsec may contact you and ask you to confirm your identity to ensure that Newsec does not disclose your Personal Data to any unauthorized person. Newsec may ask you to specify your request before Newsec performs any actions. When your identity is confirmed, Newsec will handle your request in accordance with applicable law.
